BREAST REDUCTION
Breast hypertrophy is called to excessive breast volume. Its volume can occur as an isolated symptom or may beaccompanied by fall of the breast (ptosis). Generally it is due to the excessive development of the mammary gland and the adipose tissue from inside.
The Breast Reduction or Reduction Mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure to reduce the size of breasts, through the elimination of fat, breast tissue and skin, making them smaller, lighter, rounder, and firmer. In addition this interventionis often supplemented with a reduction in the size of the areola.
Women with large breasts may have some problems due to this excess weight, such as back pain and neck pain, irritation of the skin under the breast and respiratory problems. The breast reduction aims to achieve an aesthetically more proportionate breast with the consequent functional benefit.
IS THE SURGERY THAT I WANT? IS THIS SURGERY EFFECTIVE?
The Breast Reduction is usually done to alleviate a physical problem, rather than for purely aesthetic reasons although the aesthetic improvement will be evident both nude and clothed. Many women who undergo this procedure are concerned about the excessive volume of her breast that interferes with many activities and causes physical discomfort.
In the majority of cases are expected until the breast has developed fully, but it can be done before if physical problems are very important.
Therefore, those patients who frequently suffer from back pains, pains in shoulders by bra, difficulty in finding proper clothes, submammary skin maceration,…they would be part of the group of patients susceptible to breast reduction.
